I have been using this at my work and home office for several weeks now and it works perfectly. Sturdy enough that I know my laptop is secure but light weight enough to fold and place into my bag to take back and forth. Thinking about getting a second one to have permanently at home and in the office since I work 50/50 between the two since the price is great. Also I like the fact that it elevated my laptop for conference calls so that the camera is in a good spot not to have that awkward zoom angle.
My laptop was overheating during some game play; searched for stands and selected this one among many others. Price is right; not bulky; very sturdy; easily portable. I use mine at the least angled setting and it's very comfortable. Several others had support stops that were too high for wrist comfort; this one's stops are shallow but with rubberized surface so that it will support even thicker laptops than my MacBookAir which is very thin.
Nice stand. I highly recommend it.
The laptop stand is well made and very light, portable, it fits easily in the side pocket of a laptop bag. adjustable to the angles that I needed for viewing and typing. It has definitely improved the pain in my neck. I highly recommend this stand.
This laptop stand pleasantly surprised me. Between the metal construction and the grippy rubber feet on the bottom, I have no qualms about putting my 14" Chromebook on it. It also folds up pretty small when not in use, and comes with a handy storage bag. You could use it for a tablet, but it might not be the best choice because it only goes up to a 40-degree angle. It also doesn't reduce the footprint of the laptop at all when in use. That said, it does exactly what I bought it for, and does it well.
What I didn't expect was that my hands and wrists are more comfortable typing on my laptop at this angle and I have less back pain because the screen is elevated and I am not stooping as much. Win win! For me, the two lips at the front of the stand are flush with my laptop (they do not extend over the thickness of my laptop) so I cannot feel them when my wrists are resting on them. I have an hp elitebook. This was a good buy for me!
